2012 IEEE International Multi-Disciplinary Conference on Cognitive Methods in Situation Awareness and Decision Support
On behalf of the IEEE Communications Society we are pleased to welcome you to the 2nd IEEE Conference on Cognitive Methods in Situation Awareness and Decision Support (CogSIMA 2012) in beautiful New Orleans.

|General Chair||TPC Co-Chair||TPC Co-Chair|
It has been a honor and privilege to serve as the General Chair and the TPC Co-Chairs of this conference. The 2nd IEEE CogSIMA 2012 will continue to expand the research domain of situation management that was established by the 1st CogSIMA 2011 conference. The aim of the conference is to provide a venue for presenting scientific results of studies of complex dynamical systems that include humans, physical systems and computer agents whose behaviors depend on situation. This year’s conference focuses on a broad range of these issues and, including situation awareness and decision support, situation modeling and learning, threat situation analysis, human situational behavior, conceptual situation awareness architectures, modeling synergistic human/machine systems, enhancing human performance, and agent-based situation awareness.
Many individuals and organizations contributed to the success of this conference. We would like to extend our sincere congratulations to the authors, keynote speakers, Technical Program Committee members, reviewers and session chairs for a job well done. Their tireless efforts and vision provided the impetus to put together an outstanding conference technical program. Last, but not least, the support of the IEEE Communications Society and its staff, and our sponsors, SPAWAR and CUBRC, Inc. are greatly appreciated.
We hope that the conference will be a stimulating, informative, enjoyable and fulfilling experience to all who attend it.
